Fair point… I’ve re-opened the [other suggestion](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-amp-optimized-for-nvidia-shield/762553).  
I’m not even sure what this one is asking for … doesn’t look so much like a suggestion but a rant about … dunno.

**Edit:** as per the point above… there’s a native Plex client available through the Google Play store that’s working on Android TV. As reflected by the OP, online media sources can be disabled for good using [https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources](https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources)
