# Plex amp theme goes back to light

I am looking for a resolution. I am using plex amp on my desktop. As of todays date of 14-AUG-2022 I am currently using 4.3.0. Everytime I open the app on the computer, it is “light” theme. I want it to stay in dark theme. I go and select it. Then after while I will close the app when I leave the computer. Next time I open the app on the computer, it reverts back to light. How can I fix this?

On what OS/platform are you running this desktop version of Plexamp?
If you’re on Linux (and maybe macOS), there might be some hiccup with permissions, preventing Plex from storing your app setting changes.
Have you already checked if this also happens for other settings or is it just the theme color?

I am using windows based. No linux. It didn’t seem to have this issue before the most recent update. So far just seems on the desktop. I use plex amp on my phone as well. Havent really noticed any issues their. Though I do have issues with my 4K movies when I stream in our movie room from time to time. But thats a different topic.

Check Settings \> Appearance \> Track System Theme
