Plex Audio 5.1 Swapped with Front Right/ Center

I have a new problem that I just encountered, I’m currently running the Plex app though a Ps3, App Version 2.6.9. Ps3 version 01.17.

In my media mostly movies I guess has an audio problem. Most of my movies are DTS 5.1 or DD 5.1, My Speaker System isn’t to great but I love it, A Logitech Z906 its a 5.1 speaker system that decodes DD and DTS, Its connected to my Ps3 to my Z906 using S/PIDF Toslink Optical Cable. That’s the only way that I can connect my Ps3 to my Z906.

My media when playing from the Ps3 Plex App the audio is off, Like the Front Right speaker is swapped with my Center speaker. I checked to make sure that the audio is in fact DTS or DD both 5.1 and Plex confirms that. Just to be sure.

Are there any fixes for my problem?

Also a quick question, Is it true that Plex Ps3 and Plex Ps4 does not do DTS, only AC3 and ACC? If so, When will this be changed?

This is a known issue and they are working on it, according to BigWheel.

If you’re on a local network… there’s a workaround. You can play the movie through the XMB via the DLNA UPNP server. It should show up under VIDEO on the XMB if you have UPNP media server devices turned on in the PS3’s network settings.

Alright, Thanks for your answer.

I was hoping to get a response from an employee though. It seems that while some people pay for the Plex Pass the support is very limited. There’s not even an official way to contact a true support team that plex operates.
