# Plex automatically rewinds back by itself

Server Version#: 4.87.2  
Player Version#:Shield 9.8.23522

while watching a a local movie via Plex on Nvidia shield, the move automatically rewinds back 220-520 seconds, basely back to the start of the movie for no apparent reason.

anyone else experiencing this ?

Rewinding as in it’ll start playback 3-5 minutes before the point where you left it or that it’ll jump back or play the video backwards for that duration when you restart it?

@tom80H, even from a fresh start of play, 3-5 minutes in maybe more, it just rewinds back to the start, it happen earlier with the wife, I taught it may have just been the film, but its happening on a film I know there’s no issue, I sitting here watching the Plex console waiting for it to happen again.

will grab the log when it rewinds.

hi all

it didn’t happen again, this is because I reboot the shield, must have been a device issue.

However, I will post back here if it does do it again, but so far so so good
