# Plex buffering on Live TV

When I watch Live TV on Plex (on NVidia Shield) via my HDHomerun device it constantly keeps buffering. If I watch directly on the HDHomerun app it runs smooth. What can be the problem?
I use a Toshiba Canvio Basics 4TB SSD, could it be that it buffers since it records the program at the same time (does it?). It seems strange since it has a write speed of 150 MB/s. What else could be the problem? I run the latest hotfix (9.0.1) on the shield.
