Hi all, I know this has been duplicated before but none of the previous answers have helped me. My Plex cannot find new local srt subtitles in my movies folder, previous srt(s) it has found still works. But none show up for any language for new media added in. Example: In a folder called “My Movie (2020)” I would have “My Movie (2020).mp4” and “My Movie (2020).en.srt” or “My Movie (2020).zh.srt”. Plex picks up the movie but the srt’s are ignored. I have tried: - Refreshing metadata on the movie listing - Refreshing metadata on the movie library - Checking “Local Media Assets (Movies)” agent is turned on - Turn on “Prefer local metadata” in the Library Advanced options (I’ve turned this off now) - Checking the srt permissions and owner (same as the movie file) - Restarting Plex server Please let me know if I can try something else or if uploading Plex logs will help. Thanks, Edit: The issue was with permissions in the Plex application files, where some of my permissions were messed up. Check there if you still have issues. Server Version#: 1.29.2.6364 (Docker in Unraid) Player Version#: 4.87.2 (Web local access) ---

I’ve selected that and did a Refresh Metadata, the srt’s are still not showing. ---

Rights? If you’re talking about permissions I’ve checked them. “Srt file permissions and owner are set to the same as the movie file.” ---

Then do the following: 1. Post a screen capture from the file system, showing both media as well as srt file 2. Do a [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) on a media, and after that upload [PMS Logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) ---

Thank you! You’re right, it was an issue inside the Plex application files. There was an issue with permissions in some of the folders. I’ve fixed those permissions and it all works now. Thanks again! ---
