Hi all, i was wondering if there is a plex client for enigma2. i didn’t find one so i did some proof of concept. Everything looks good so far. and i am quite sure that it is possible to make one 🙂 My question is if there are more people out there that would use the client on enigma2 or if i am the only one 😉 please let me know what do you think about it. greets DonDavici ---

enigma 2 on what sort of hardware ? if your talking dreamboxes i think you would be opening a can of worms…would the dreams have the porcessing power to keep up or memory even ?? ---

Hi DonDavici I would love to use a plugin for enigma2!! A proper Live TV integration with EPG and schedule recordings is the only thing missing in PLEX. The API of enigma2 openwebif is supposed to provide all that functionality. Do you have some kind of prototype or did you stop this project? ---

Hi DonDavici, I’m the next who would be using PLEX@Enigma2. I have one Dreambox DM8000 as well as two Kathi UFS-912 with enigma2 derivates (Gemini3@Dream and AAF@Kathi). For Plex, I currently use my iPad, ATV2, Samsung BD5500, Windows-PC (and a Roku-XS in on the way for testing). On my Dream, I’m currently testing project valerie, but would love to switch to Plex (and sell the ATV2 & Roku 😉 Is there any chance to get this working on enigma? all the best from good old Germany myhtpc ---

Hi there, I’m in the process of setting up an Ubuntu based Media Server in my basement. I’m planning on running Plex Media Server on it. I do also own a VU+ Duo, with is an Enigma2 (well not anymore, due to some copyright issues with DreamMedia they call it dvbapp, though it is based on enigma2). Anyway, a lot of Dreambox Enigma2 plugins do work without to much problems on the VU+. So I would definitely also be interested in your work. Regards ---

I’m writing a Plex Client for Enigma2 (or attempting to) have the basic framework setup for the my DM800, but need info on any Python based APIs to talk to a PMS… can anyone point me in the right fdirection for libs/doco or am I going to have to resort to hacking it by sniffing client communications? Elan? ---

Well test done in both versions, michelle and DonDavici michelle version works great on GP3 image , but no subtitles option for SRT subs i guess it might be a firmware issue and not related to the plugin itself dondavici version gives erros wont work after configuring on LAN option , also it does not have option for http streaming, buffer, or direct play , like in michelle version i was only able to play in direct play option on michelle version. DonDavici version has got a nicer GUI interface, but hopeless if can´t get it running… anyway guys keep up the good work… P.S- Any chance of getting a working version with remote conection with username and password login? ---
