Hi there, I have a raspberry Pi 3 with Raspbian Pixel on it and a Qnap which serves me as a PMS. My raspberry is also my download station p so I can’t install the official PlexOS on it. Right now I am using am amazon fire stick with the plex app, but it is too slow always has to buffer a lot and just troubles me. That’s why I want to use my Raspi as a client. Does anyone know if that is possible? Google didn’t help. Thanks! ---

It isn’t possible to run the server and the client from the same raspberry but you could build a dual boot system for having Pixel and Rasplex on the same system ([an example](http://www.multibootpi.com/builds/quad-boot-raspbian-pixel-retropie-rasplex-kodi/#more-239 "an example")) ---

Nice, thanks! I don’t want to run PMS and the player on the same device. I want to run Raspbian and the player on the same device. With a dual boot system, can I use the player while Raspbian is running in the background? ---
