# Plex Database files onto separate drive

Hello, I recently had to redo windows, and I now see it forgot a step when backing up my database location, I have all my files, but I can’t point plex server to them, I have the files located onto another drive. I know their use to be an option to locate/move the database files under General on the server settings, but now that’s gone. So my question now is, how do I tell plex that the files are on another drive.

The option in the UI was apparently removed for security reasons.
