# Plex Desktop for Windows

Server Version#:1.43.1.10611-1e34174b1  
Player Version#:1.112.0.359-0d79a49f

Plex for Windows Desktop only plays Audio and no Video. I have tried all types of movies, tv shows, live TV etc.

Uninstalled Windows Desktop app and reinstalled and no fix.

Please help.

Have you tried the Web version, just as a check of your cabling etc.

If no luck then

Disable HW Decoding=App Settings \> Player Black Screen / Audio Only

Install HEVC Extensions=Microsoft Store H.265 / 4K issues

Disable FS Optimizations=Shortcut Properties Black Screen

Update Drivers=Device Manager NVIDIA Rendering issues

Hi,

Web version works great.

Tried all the settings and no change. Audio only on Plex Windows Player.

Any other suggestions?

Amazingly I fixed the issue myself…turned this off and all seems to be working now..
