# Plex.direct certificate expired

Server Version#: 1.23.3.4707
One of my plex servers became inaccesible from the portal plex.tv (currently I have 3 plex servers)
The error in the plex.tv indicate that a secure connection could not be established.
Checking the configuration in the plex server everything seems fine, since is configured as
Secure connections: [Preferred]
So I try to contact the server directly from internet to check if every was fine, and I found the certificate problem:
After trying to contact the server using the web browser
https://[MY PUBLIC IP]:32400
I get the next error:
[MY PUBLIC IP]:32400 uses an invalid security certificate
The certificate is only valid for \*.[BIG HEX NUMBER].plex.direct
The certificate expired on Friday, July 02 2021 7:00AM. The current time is Monday, July 05 2021 1:53 PM.
Error code: SSL\_ERROR\_BAD\_CERT\_DOMAIN
I don’t have any custom certificate configured, so I don’t know how to renew the internal certificate used by Plex Server.

Restarting PMS should get a new certificate.

I restart 2 times, but after a couple of minutes as you mention I got a new certificate.
