# Plex + Discord Integration

I personally would have voted for this back when the Tidal integration was a thing (because that’s the only time I played music through Plex). I don’t personally care to show what movie or episode I’m currently watching on Discord.

This is indeed already possible, see my PR here for example [feat: supply activity type, add buttons, other misc changes by brw · Pull Request #26 · Arno500/plex-richpresence · GitHub](https://github.com/Arno500/plex-richpresence/pull/26)

Since recently it’s also possible to make the text and images clickable and change the status text (“Playing/Watching/Listening to ”) to be the thing that is being watched/listened to instead of the app name ([Discord Developer Portal](https://discord.com/developers/docs/change-log#clickable-links-and-customizable-statuses-in-rich-presence)), which means it has feature parity with the Spotify and Crunchyroll activity integrations. I’m not sure if any existing Plex Discord RPC apps are using this yet though.

I am sure that this has been suggested countless times already, but a rich presence for discord at least for PlexAmp if nothing else would be greatly appreciated and is the only thing i miss from switching to Plex for self hosting my music
