# Plex doesn't Read certain episodes / Files for TV shows \[Solved\]

Server Version#: 1.21.4.4079  
Player Version#: 4.52.2

Plex won’t read Episode / File EP1 - EP9 of show “Naam” regardless of naming.  
But shows total number of files in path in log.  
Here is my log, details are in “Plex Media Scanner.2.log”

I recommend you to try naming those files according to Plex’ naming schema. You could attempt a dirty workaround by adding a season folder to give Plex a chance to match those files to a season and episode… not just guessing that based on a file named `EP##`.

## Basic schema should be:

```nohighlight
TV Shows <- the folder linked to your tv-show library
  Show Name
    Season XX
      Show Name - sXXeYY - optional stuff, e.g. episode title.ext
      Show Name - sXXeYY.ext <- without all the optional clutter

```

_Where `XX` is the season number, `YY` is the episode number and `.ext` is the file extension. Notice Plex doesn’t use `EP` but `E` as episode identifier!_

## Specific example for your show

TV Shows
  Naam
    Season 01
      Naam - s01e01.mp4
      Naam - s01e02.mp4
      ...
      Naam - s01e32 - Finale.mp4

```

Not sure Plex will find any metadata… I’ve checked IMDb, The Movie Database and TheTVDb but couldn’t find a show named `Naam`. From the looks of it, Plex is also struggling to find a good match
