# Plex flipping and distorting videos

Plex is unable to process the orientation metatdata embedded in some videos, like cell phone videos, leading to flipped and distorted videos. Other players handle that without issue. It sounds like many users are experiencing this. Can plex playback be updated to properly parse data provided by the video files?
