**Plex for Android 8.6.0**

**NOTE:** We are performing a staged rollout, which means the update may take a day or two before it becomes available.

**NEW:**

- [TV] Updated media detail screens with new unified platform designs.

**FIXES:**

- Player: videos with capitals in the file extension would be unable to direct play.
- Player: app could crash when starting video playback.
- Player: transcode when requested by server due to bandwidth limition.
- Live TV: always start at the live edge.
- Display the resume dialog when playing a partially played video.
- Device clean up leaves deleted Live TV & DVR sources.
- App could crash loading images on some devices in certain screens.
- Image caching improvements.
- [Mobile] Preplays: episode in a season were missing descriptions.
- [Mobile] Preplays: background art could sometimes be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
- [Mobile] Player: resuming from mini-player would not be possible if playback was closed during Picture in Picture.
- [Mobile] Player: don’t display audio visualizer and thumbnail at the same time.
- [TV] Player: shuffle setting was unreachable.
- [TV] Live TV on Plex: reordering channel to the top could end up getting stuck when moving down.
- [TV] Player: the blurred background while loading could be poor quality.
- [TV] Player: app could close unexpectedly if a playback error occurred.
- [TV] Wrong name could be used for PMS update available notification modal.
