The latest isn’t always the best, check the changelogs - Plex Media Server - because if there are no security fixes and the main changes between a working and non-working version are fixes for things you don’t use (e.g. DVR, radio, fixes for nvidia shield etc), then there’s not really any risk in doing it.
Back in context with the rest of this thread though, and I had my port forwarding set-up just fine, it was visible on http://www.canyouseeme.org/ , it seemed to be only PMS that had the trouble with it. The moment I rolled-back to a previous version, with no router config changes, everything worked again.
would you please away and let cayars help me, GEEZE a leech would be less irritating.
OK on the port forwarding page click the +SERVICE button
Then use the following settings. Let me know (or screen shot) if it’s asking for other info
Common Service - Other
Service Name - Plex
Service Type -TCP or TCP/UDP
Server IP Address - 10.0.0.26
Server IPv6 Address - leave blank
Start Port - 32400
End Port - 32400
Then head over to http://www.canyouseeme.org/
use port 32400 to test with. It should already know your IP.
If that shows the port open retest in Plex.
Let me know how this goes.

Unfortunately for you and this unwarranted anger and abuse, this thread is about getting Plex on WebOS working again, which is how I - and in the future, others - found it. It’s part of an open forum. Have a read of the community guidelines maybe https://support.plex.tv/articles/220049328-forum-community-guidelines/

The topic and problem is about getting the app working again. It’s a problem I also suffered, and have since rectified. I’ve shared details of how I got it working, and hopefully others in a similar situation will also find it useful.
What Cayars is trying to do will stop it happening again
he’s not the problem. you and tsdadam are the problem, and the only abusive ones here are the two of you.
this did the trick very nicely. thanks
xfinity must of changed something on their end. several weeks ago they switched a lot of us to ipv6 addresses and didn’t bother to tell peeps. caused major problems. was down almost a week because they couldn’t figure out what they did. thanks again and info already save to file.
again thanks, very much appreciate all the help.
Glad we got it working. Enjoy!
dont think it is due to router or network config as I have not changed anything and it used to work fine until couple of days (until i did a Plex server update very probably). I am now unable to see my server on my Panasonic tv Plex app anymore. Rest of the devices (through wifi) are working properly though.
In need of a proper Plex server fix as i am not willing to downgrade to a previous version as tsdadam did.
More info please
Same problem here ,I had to downgrade to 1.0.3.2461, tried several versions without success but this one did it automatically , svt play plugin works as well…My tv LG.
let me weigh in on this again and say yes the is a plex issue, and not a router / modem issue. cause till i installed one version i had no issue, and i know there was no software / firmware update to the router / router.
