For linux users on arch-based systems: I’ve created an AUR package that extracts the snap and uses as many system libraries as possible. See more here: [Plex HTPC Arch package](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-htpc-arch-package/777227). No need to install `snapd` just to use plex 🎉

For those on other base distros, you might be able to look at the PKGBUILD for a manual install on other distros as well.
