# Plex identifying different shows as the same

The TVDB/TMDB IDs really help with reboots, spinoffs, etc. You can also add IMDB/TMDB IDs for movie files. The docs have the details. Be sure and use curly brackets, {…}.

Name and organize the shows as shown in the thread I linked.

Add the TVDB/TMDB ID to the folder name for each show, then [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) both shows, returning them to the Plex library one at a time.
