# Plex incompatible with Android v4.2.2?

I’m running an LG GoogleTV running Android v4.2.2. Unfortunately, it appears as though LG has abandoned the GoogleTV platform and I am not able to upgrade my version of Android beyond v4.2.2. The latest version of Plex broke Plex for my Android TV. When I launch Plex it just crashes immediately. I was able to get it running again by reverting back to v4.28.2.249 of Plex and turning off automatic updates.

My question is, for the Plex staff, are there any plans to make the latest version of Plex compatible with Android v4.2.2 again or is this the last update I will have?

that would be because Google has abandoned the GoogleTV platform.

4.1 is the minimum currently. thanks for report. it’s being looked into.
