Just questions about the plex installer program, no answers here
What are you talking about?
Yeah, providing media to others to install on their own system is not something I would advertise. Why are you trying to resell the plex service? Just charge an installation fee and have the customer work out their own details with Plex (you can proxy this discussion if you like…).

Sounds like he’s captilizing on a free system by charging for installs.

I think he’s talking about this: https://www.plex.tv/plex-pass-pro/installer/
@AshTray900 , The website for the Plex Pro Installer program says it is “…for home entertainment professionals who wish to add Plex installation and configuration to their playbook…”
Are you a home entertainment professional? I think they don’t want just anybody to be “authorized Plex installers.”
@danjames92 - FWIW, I do not blame someone for charging for installs of an otherwise free product. Some members offer paid support for Plex. I don’t think that is a bad thing, really, though it does show that there is room for Plex to improve or expand their support offerings if people are willing to pay for help. I do standby my comment about copying his library for someone else, though.
If you have questions about the Plex Installer Program, please contact Plex directly. The will be more than happy to tell you all about it, what it entails, what your responsibilities will be after you install someone’s system, everything.
Just a quick note. Normally Plex does not allow anyone to resell Plex Passes or Plex products. There is a new program called the Plex Pas Pro Installer program. This is designed for companies that already provide home entertainment installations. This program allows them to legally advertise an affiliation with Plex. This program is not for the average person who wants to do this on the side for some quick cash.
