# Plex keeps aborting when while watching live TV

Channel number/Name:
Since upgrading to the latest version of plex for linux on Ubuntu 18 on Jan 3rd 2021 I have had plex crash 3 times. The latest was on Jan 4 at approximately 11pm. I am uploading the logs. Please check and fix the issue.

your signal strength is pretty low.

I would recommend investigating a signal strength tracking app, like for example I use an IOS app called “Signal GH” which shows me signal strength on all 4 tuners using different selected stations.

I just noticed version 1.21.1.38.76 is out. I just upgraded to that and will see if the crashes stop.

well if the problem is low signal, no update is really going to fix it.
you may need to adjust your current antenna, or invest in an attic or roof antenna.

Sorry, I didn’t notice your reply when I posted that I upgraded. I think some of the channels it crashed on get a good signal. I will pay more attention to the signal strength on ones it crashes on and see what it is in the future.

if you like, you can monitor the logs real time while watching tv
check @ [Plex Web](https://app.plex.tv/desktop) \> settings \> scroll down left side bottom \> console
in the top right of the console, you can type keywords to search/filter the logs

Plex aborted again with playback error again. This time the antenna strength was 100%. I am uploading logs again. This happened around Sun. Jan 10 at 21:29 on channel 5.1. sorry for the late response, and thanks for the logs.
I totally missed you were using a tv tuner card instead of an HDHR (the app I posted above is for HDHR tuners).
I am not real familiar with the tuner cards, I use the HDHR myself, but I did not see anything immediately obvious that would indicate a problem.
here the client appeared to stop the playback

looks again like the client stopped the playback and tuner terminated the stream accordingly
why the client stopped the stream doesn’t seem to be clear though.
are you using any scheduled recordings? do they complete and not have any missing content (like maybe no/low signal sections) ?
