# Plex keeps four Database Backups instead of three

Server Version#: 1.40.3.8555 on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7  
Since about a week Plex keeps four Database Backups instead of three in \Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases, today for example:  
com.plexapp.plugins.library.db-2024-06-10  
com.plexapp.plugins.library.db-2024-06-13  
com.plexapp.plugins.library.db-2024-06-16  
com.plexapp.plugins.library.db-2024-06-19  
Additionally of course their corresponding com.plexapp.plugins.library.blobs.db-2024-06-10/13/16/19

The oldest one com.plexapp.plugins.library.db-2024-06-07 was deleted as intended while creating com.plexapp.plugins.library.db-2024-06-19 in this nights scheduled tasks maintenance period.  
Everything else also works fine also so i don’t suspect a corrupted database.  
All backups are created at 02:02, only com.plexapp.plugins.library.db-2024-06-13 at 22:02 because i played around with the scheduled tasks time window.  
Is this behavior normal, maybe since i upgraded to Plex pass or since i activated intro/outro detection resulting in bigger blobs database files?  
Will it go back to three backups again after a while (“wait at least for a week and it will fix itself”)?  
I think i can’t adjust the count of old database backups, documentation says there should be always three (Up to three backup copies will be kept in a rotating manner [https://support.plex.tv/articles/201553286-scheduled-tasks/](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201553286-scheduled-tasks/)).
