# Plex Live TV Will Not Release Tuners

Server Version#: 1.41.3.9314 (Windows 10)
Player Version#: 4.141.0
Tuner Make/Model: HDHomeRun HDHR4-2US (Firmware: 20230713)
Guide/Lineup name:
Using XMLTV?:
Channel number/Name: ALL
My issue is the same issue that others have posted about. Plex Live TV does not release tuners when changing the channel.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Tune to a channel
2. Tune to a second channel
3. Tune to a third channel, receive error:
```auto
Playback Error
Could not tune channel. Please check your tuner or antenna.
```
HDHome Run Tuner log:
```auto

Here is what the tuner log looks like when changing channels using emby:

Clearly, Plex is not releasing the tuner when changing channels. In one of the related threads below, a Plex representative said this behavior is by design. However, this design makes it impossible to freely change channels. Is there a way to disable this behavior?
