# Plex media 2 - Suggestions

It looks cool but I’d love you to improve a few bits & the search function 😃
Its great the way you can click on an actor in a movie and see what else they’re in in you film collection - but I should also be able to do a manual serach. Or even with siri perhaps show me movies with ‘ewan mcgregor’
I love plex but I want it to be less computer algorithm & a little more human.
- Improve search function to include more from the metadata E.G I have the entire james bond collection yet when I search bond only 2 movies show up.
- Or for example you want to watch a movie with a actor in etc.
- Auto play extras 1 after the other - Like a dvd would / should
- On main pages show either year or Star ratings underneath title etc - recently released movies I want more than just a title & poster gimme a imdb rating etc.
- Show the Director & Year clearly on the movie page 🙂
- Maybe even the name of movie studio… I.E Pixar, Disney,
- & Country, Budget etc (Maybe let us choose what meta info we want to show E.G I don’t care what subtitles I have)
- Maybe even offer a link to a movie review (mark kermode etc) or the newspapers Times, Guardian, New York Times rating etc
- Show awards - If a movie has won awards lets blo\*dy show it off 🙂 I wanna know which of my film collection has a bafta or oscar
- Plex could suggest oscar winning movies for cinematography or best actor, director etc
- Use different fonts - the title & description should be different fonts or titles in bold etc.
- Show me a quick category selection for my content at the top - so comedy, horor, documnetary etc.
- Use IMDB to tell me what other movies actors & directors are known for outside of my content (I want plex to help educate me too, so then I can go get those movies too)
- Codec info maybe show a video bitrate

This is my redesign:
- Title in yellow
- Added Director
- IMDB rating has an actual star
- The parental rating is the actual rating like on a dvd etc
- Moved Movie description above the movie meta data
- Added movie studio

I’d cut out extras/actors/related movies and make that a whole seperate page. Get rid of the … And make all options visable. Increase poster size. No IMDB/RT ratings, I own the movie, why do I care about the rating?
