Plex Media Player - Does Not Remember Last Episode Watched

So the issue is little hard to explain.

What happens is lets say I am in the TV library and I directly click on the play button on the series, before what used to happen is that it will start playing from the first unplayed episode. However, lately what has started happening is for e.g. I opened the library page and clicked play …watched 3 episodes and got then press “x” on the video which returns me to the library page. If I click on the play button again on the series it will start from the same 3 episodes back even though they are marked as played. If I close PMP and run it again then no issue but otherwise it starts from where when the library page is loaded.
