I recently swapped my cache drive by placing my new ssd and loaded up a back up of it that I had made. Now my plex media player cannot load any videos and produces that error. For some reason, it would work once I disable secure connections. Playback is fine on the webUI. What could be the cause of this?
Same issue here with “an error occured trying to play…” but I still have remote access.
Plex player (3.71.1) connects to server securely but then throws that error on any content. Disabling secure connections resolves it or I can work around it via webgui. Think for me showed up after some windows updates (server and player on fully updated win10 pro, 17134). Android player works fine on LAN and remote.
Not sure if has to dnsrebinding protection issues but i haven’t made any recent changes to firmware on my TP-LINK Archer C9 . Changing DNS to Cloudflare on all devices didn’t resolve the problem.
same here, not even a PC restart. I am accessing the files of a friend and the error Occured.
All videos are effected from Plex media.
On his side the videos are playing properly
Web plex accesses the content properly
Restarted pc and didnt work.
Uninstalled Plex media, cleared cache, re-installed, didnt work.
No solution for this from what I can see. It is getting more and more likely that I will drop this product. Plex’s support team ignoring these posts from multiple users should tell us a lot…
