# Plex Media Scanner Depth

its not changed, you should never group different/related series under a sub folder

`/store/data1/Series/TV/Star Trek Discovery/Season 1`  
`/store/data1/Series/TV/Star Trek Picard/Season 1`

you don’t really even need both series and tv.

`/store/data1/TV` \<\<\<\< this should be the path in your plex tv library

these are the shows in the TV folder that appear in your tv library  
`/store/data1/TV/Star Trek Discovery/Season 1`  
`/store/data1/TV/Star Trek Picard/Season 1`

It’s also a good idea to put the (year) after the show name

`/store/data1/TV/Star Trek Discovery (2017)/Season 1`  
`/store/data1/TV/Star Trek Picard (2020)/Season 1`

here is mine

`/data/media/TV/Star Trek - Discovery (2017)/Season 01/Star Trek - Discovery (2017) - s01e01 - The Vulcan Hello [x264 AC3 5.1].mkv`  
`/data/media/TV/Star Trek - Picard (2020)/Season 01/Star Trek - Picard (2020) - s01e01 - Remembrance [h264 EAC3 5.1].mkv`
