Server Version#: 1.18.2.2015
Player Version#: Plex Web 4.12.2
Love the feature that has returned to Browse airings in Library style view (#10556). This is extremely useful and I missed not having it! However, once I go into this mode, I have not figured out how to get back to being able to access the Guide and DVR Schedule. Every time I select “Live TV and DVR” the browse feature persists. I believe that this is not the functionality you intended.
Again, thank you for returning this feature to the Web Client, which is the main way I manage the Plex Server and Recordings.
I understand the functionality, that it persists like the other options…but I must be missing something… I don’t have the original buttons or any Drop down as you indicate I should…see picture
I was able to recover though; to do so, I had to click the back button on my browser 3 times to get back to the initial Browse page. I suspect you can do the same, but you may have to go back farther, depending upon how much you’ve been clicking around the interface trying to recover.
I don’t seem to be able to select a channel as the last step of point 2 above.
The filtered view just doesn’t show channel numbers or names.
I can enter the detail view of a movie just fine.
Using app.plex.tv and using Chrome Version 78.0.3904.97 (Official Build) (64-bit)
I don’t know how to tell if any web browser add-ins are interfering. I don’t have many add ins.
Finally, select Channel from the All drop-down to select a specific channel.
After doing this and selecting a movie, I was able to reproduce the problem by clicking on the Live TV & DVR link (above my server name “mac-mini”) in the upper-left.
Thank you for the work-around Philipsw. I was able to go into my Chrome browser history (Ctrl-H) and select the first time I went into Plex.app.tv today (many hours ago) and I could get back to the 4 button selection in LiveTV & DVR
Mine recovered fully, but I hadn’t done much browsing around in the interface. It could be that it needs to be unwound rather than bypassed. At any rate, maybe try one or more of the following:
Selecting an even earlier point in your history for the site.
The local web app is the version you access by browsing to the localhost IP address (127.0.0.1) if directly on the device. Or, if not, by browsing to the IP address of the system hosting PMS: http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
Or,
https://[IP of server]:32400/web
My experience is that it too can be affected by this issue though. Try the desktop app if you continue to have issues; as far as I know, it’s not affected.
