Hi there, Wondering why there is no Android (app) version of the Plex Media Server available to download…? I know about the viewer client app and that I can share media through it, but it is not the same full-featured Plex Media Server which I could install on my Android box to stream my home video (hundreds of GB worth) off of and also share it with family throughout the globe. ---

Android is largely a mobile / player (TV), not server, platform. ---

It is still more server (as in, it is Linux) than some of the platforms you currently support for PMS 😉 Any chances for an Android PMS soon? I would join any such effort as alpha- or beta tester.nn ---

a) that’s your opinion. The mainstream distros are either Redhat or Debian based and not Google. b) unlikely to be an Android PMS except where a vendor, like nVidia, has combined the player and server into their device. ---

It’s a shame, really. Fingers crossed for that standpoint to change soon, mate… Also, I will try installing a Debian virtual environment app and then a Debian PMS. Pretty dirty hack, but should work. ---
