Thanks to a tip over in the Plex Server Crashing Because of Thumbnail Generation thread, I have discovered that I can prevent the server crash by disabling thumbnail generation.
Make no mistake, however - this is NOT a solution! At best, it’s a workaround that will at least prevent me from missing recordings due to the server not functioning, but it creates its own set of issues due to the lack of thumbnail generation.
This is a rather serious bug that needs to get fixed.
