Let’s take the big step.

This will be a double-check of your data and confirm we can simply delete everything in the Plex shared folder.

(I want to be 100% certain before we do)

1. Uninstall PLEX with KEEP option (important)

3. Download the correct package for your Synology

4. Install it.

5. It might sit there a couple minutes – DO NOT worry.

6. When it is done,
   a. Verify you have a PlexMediaServer shared folder
   b. Verify your server is still there and fully intact.
