# Plex Media Sever does not recognize series correctly

FYI, you can attach log files directly to the thread. Just drag the zip file into the compose window.

You need to follow Plex naming and organization recommendations.

- Name shows correctly
- Put each show in its own folder
- Use `Season XX` folder for each season
- Use correct naming for each episode: `ShowName - sXXeYY.ext`

After renaming/reorganizing, [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) the entire show to clear the incorrect data from the Plex server database.

Many people use FileBot, [https://www.filebot.net/](https://www.filebot.net/), to assist with naming files. It has presets that conform to Plex recommendations.
