# Plex never matches Music metadata

I’ve been adding well-tagged music to my Plex library for some time now and I can never get Plex to download metadata about the music from the internet. It only uses local metadata.

Prefer local metadata is unchecked  
Load artist biography data from the cloud. is checked  
Load album reviews and critic ratings from the cloud. is checked  
Load popular track data is checked  
Load concert data for artists is checked  
Genres:currently “Embedded Tags” using “Plex Music” didn’t change anything  
Album Art: “Both” (because Plex Music just screws up the album covers for me)  
Agent: Tried both Plex Music and Last.fm - no difference

I’ve recreated the Library several times and always see the same behavior. At one point, I was able to somehow force individual Albums to match/download but it’s just too tedious.

Server Version#: 1.18.4.2171  
Player Version#: 3.104.2
