# Plex no longer hardware decodes video

Player Version#: This doesnt really seem to matter it happens on all devices.

When i first built my new plex server it worked perfectly until about the last week or so. I hadn’t installed an new updates when i started having this issue. I have updated since to see if it would help and nothing changed. For whatever reason it tries to load an nvidia file, which i dont have ive been using the igpu of my cpu and it worked very well. Very little impact when the 4 or 5 users are using it at any given time. but latly plex wont hardware decode so when they users are using it the cpu spikes to pretty much 100%, its still seem to work still but they say it takes longer to load. i backed up the plex settings and completly uninstalled plex and reinstalled it and restored my settings and it worked the first time someone played a video but all videos played since, its doing the same thing. not decoding the video just encoding the video. i cant figure out why suddenly its doing this. Ive attached a picture of the console/log of what it does when a video starts.!
