Player Version#: Web 4.145.1

Plex no longer even attempts to match Movies or TV Shows using the new Plex Scanners and Plex Agents. It used to, but has stopped doing so.

Modifying Manage → Libraries → Advanced → Agent to specify Legacy Agents (TheMVDB, TheTVDB) solves the issue, IMMEDIATELY matching the content and populating the Metadata, but also showing the Red Circle Exclamation Point warning “Library Update Required”. Switching it back to Agent = Plex, and adding new content, goes back to no longer even attempting to find a match.

I’ve tried both the [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) and the Short [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) solutions outlined in this thread, neither solved the problem:

> Server Version#: v.1.41.3.9314 Player Version#: not applicable I have added 2 new movies to my database today, but I cannot get Plex to searchg for them in the movie database. It was working fine on the 18th of this month (9 days ago) when I added another movie. I upgraded to the latest plex server, but that did not help. I changed the libraries Agent from ‘Plex movie’ to ‘The Movie Database’, but that did not change anything. I changed the search criteria several times, but it just does n…

I’ve attached my [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) as of this morning, after 1) adding a new movie, 2) having Plex Agent find nothing, 3) change Agent to The Movie Database, 4) having TheMVDB find a match immediately. Help!

Do NOT enable “verbose” logging.

This has been an issue plaguing tons of us. Multiple threads about it, but [this one](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-agent-no-longer-working-and-add-to-watchlist-option-is-also-now-gone/911550) is the main one I’ve been tracking.

@OttoKerner, thanks for the reply. Apologies if the log file is wrong, but as far as I can tell, I do not have logging set to verbose (see screenshot). Is there somewhere else I need to set this other than Settings → General? See attached screenshot.

You need to stop and restart the server after making changes to the logging settings, or they won’t get observed.

@OttoKerner Thanks for the clarification. I stopped, then restarted the Plex Server on my Synology NAS, then downloaded the Logs again (see attached).
I hope these logs are not Verbose, because if they are, I just don’t know why.

I have been experiencing this on my unRaid docker since 1.41.6.x as well. As soon as i revert back to 1.41.5.9522 everything works again. Not sure what changed with those two versions. I tried using Google’s DNS, same issue on 1.41.6.x and above.

This update has zero effect on my issue. Still unable to search or find a match for my files in multiple different libraries.
