Hi, Plex newbie looking for advice. I have three libraries on my Plex server: Movies, TV Shows, and one for misc. recordings. Plex has suddenly started saying that my Movie library either has no files in it or the server is unavailable. It’s just for the Movie library, though - it will still access the other two, though it isn’t showing new uploads under those either. Running though the web application, Win11 on an older HP laptop, viewing on a RokuTV; all of my media files are just stored on an external hard drive. I’ve tried signing out and back in, rebooting the modem and router, shutting down the computer, disconnecting and reconnecting the drive, and scrubbing my browser history - some combination of these has worked previously when Plex hasn’t been able to access libraries, but it doesn’t seem to affect anything this time. Anyone have any tips on how to resolve this?

The zip with my [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) is attached to the post. What else is needed?

Sorry, most times I see them attached at the end of the post. I’ll take a look

Have you had any network changes either at home or at the ISP? There’s definitely some lookup errors. Using any ad-blocker software or vpns? Still trying to find something obvious in the logs

In the meantime you might want to investigate this error. I’ve seen this several times, but maybe it’s just from when you unplugged your external drive

```auto
Filesystem error (boost::filesystem::last_write_time: The system cannot find the file specified [system:2]: "D:\TV Shows") during scanning: 2 in "D:\TV Shows"
```

No changes to the ISP that we’ve been informed of. No ad blockers or VPNs installed on that machine; the only thing it’s currently being used for is a Plex server.

Ok, just trying to rule things out

That’s new. Previously, when I tried scanning, the Movie library was skipped over while the other two were scanned. I just tried running another one, and it’s scanning everything except the TV Shows library. Same result as before, though.

I do see it trying to scan E:\Movies. Is that the correct path?

Have you tried accessing movies with the web app or native windows app? Just in case it’s a roku problem

Spit balling ideas… are you logged in as your normal user? For example, do you have any managed users that maybe don’t have access to movies and you are accidently logged in as one of those users?

I think you hit the mark with Roku. I checked the libraries through the web app, and the Movies library looked normal, but TV Show library was missing. Roku, meanwhile, was still showing it the other way around, so at the least, it wasn’t still updating from Plex. So I deleted and re-scanned all three libraries, logged out on Roku and deleted the TV app, reinstalled the TV app, logged back in, favorited the three restored libraries, and everything looks normal again. Thank you for the help - it’s very much appreciated!

Wow, that was an odd one. I’ll go out on a limb and suggest it was cache problems but I don’t know for sure.

I recommend you to assign a fixed drive letter to your media hard drive. (I’m assuming it is an external drive, which tend to get removed occasionally to free up the USB port)
I’d pick a letter that is later in the alphabet.

> **[Change a Drive Letter](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/disk-management/change-a-drive-letter)**
>
> Change or assign a Windows drive letter to a drive by using the Change Drive Letter and Paths feature with the Disk Management utility in Windows.
