I asked this here but haven’t been getting any response: [https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1204156](https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1204156) Hopefully it’s okay to repost here, I’m really just not sure how to get support for Plex. I also tried the subreddit to no avail. So I’m not sure what to do with this, but recently all the new movies added to my plex server are not grabbing all the metadata. My new movies are grabbing the actors, director, rating, and genre, however they are not grabbing the synopsis or the movie posters anymore. I tried clearing the cache as described HERE and then forcing a refresh, but that didn’t fix the problem. I checked for updates and am currently up to date, and am running on linux mint. Any suggestions? ---

I’m going to move this to the Linux forum because it will help afford maximum visibility. As to your problem of not grabbing all the data, this it telling me there is an issue with how your agents are setup or there is a problem with special characters (non UTF-8) which is a known issue. The best diagnostic steps are: 1. Check the actual file names for non-UTF 8 characters. 2. Make sure the names are correctly named (this is pretty much given since you’re getting something ) 3. Look at how your agents are prioritized. I’ve included my agent stacking for you to use as comparison. If you find you need to make a change, then do so. After that, you’ll need to do the ‘[Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064)’ for each one which gives you trouble (you can do individually or all at once) 1. Move media out of where Plex is looking for it 2. Update the Library (let it finish) 3. Empty Trash 4. Clean Bundles (let it finish) 5. Move files back in and watch as they are picked up 6. Update the Library If you’re still not getting full data, we’ll need to see the PMS Plug-ins logs to see what is really going on with it. Below are mine. So I went through your “Plex dance” and it didn’t work. I hadn’t changed my agents at all, but I decided to to match your agent layout exactly and see if that fixed the problem. Lo and behold, it works! Thanks a bunch! ---
