# PLEX Not finding random TV seasons

Hi there. I have two TV series that are missing two whole seasons. I have everything named correctly and they showed up before but now they don’t. I’ve tried the [plex dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) several times and it didn’t help. I’ve tried removing the library and re-adding it. I’ve tried re-installing the PLEX server from scratch. I’ve tried moving the whole series out of the folder and moving each season back in one at a time and even then season 4 would not show up. I can’t see anything wrong with my naming. The path is /volumeX/Media/TV Shows/\<TV SERIES NAME(DATE)\>

#### Plex Version 1.26.0.5715

#### Synology DS-920 7.0.1-42218

As one example here’s a screen shot of the season that isn’t showing up.

Anyone have any ideas how to debug/fix this?

I’m sorry to say your naming is quite off.  
Naming should be, e.g.

```plaintext
TV Shows <- the folder linked to your Plex tv-show library
  Star Trek Voyager (1995)
    Season 04
      Star Trek Voyager (1995) - s04e01.m4v
      Star Trek Voyager (1995) - s04e02.m4v
      ...
      Star Trek Voyager (1995) - s04e26.m4v

```

Plex might pick up the episodes if you name them `s04e01.m4v` etc. – It will certainly **not** properly recognize them as `s04d01.m4v` etc.

Probably a foreign naming scheme to use “D” instead of “E”. Plex only recognizes English naming conventions however. Use “SxxExx” and your troubles will likely just magically vanish.

(I don’t include the series name in my files and it works fine. Change those "D"s to "E"s and bingo.)

Thanks. Was driving me nuts. I had “d” not “e”… Everything has always otherwise worked with short episode file names.

I was ripping, compressing, and uploading and just got confused. When I rip I have ‘d’ in the dir names to indicate which disk it came off.
