# Plex not pulling id3 information

First issue is your folder organization.  
You are missing a superfolder for the AlbumArtist. (which in the case of a sampler is `Various Artists`)

```auto
/Music
   /Various Artists <-- "AlbumArtist" superfolder
      /Permanent Vacation 8 (2023)
         01 - Wallace - Largo.mp3
         02 - Artist 2 - track 2.mp3
         ...

```

Inside of an AlbumArtist superfolder, there must be not a single track which has a different AlbumArtist tagged.  
Otherwise all hell is breaking loose – particularly if you enable “prefer local metadata”.

An example of a whole album:  
Notice the folder structure and the embedded metadata, the AlbumArtist in particular.  
Don’t forget to tag the track numbers as well!
