# Plex not pulling in any music metadata

Hi, I’ve been using Plex for a few weeks. All my movies and TV shows have their metadata fetched just fine. However, none of my music is having its metadata pulled. I’m not talking about my MP3 tags. It pulls in metadata from my own tags, including embedded album art, but, for instance, none of the Artist posters or biographies are populated.

I’ve tried the Plex dance, but no luck.

I’ve also looked at some log files, but I’m not sure what I’m looking for and didn’t see anything helpful (to me). Let me know if there’s something I should look for.

My directory structure is reasonable. I.e.:

media/  
music/  
adele/  
21/  
01-01- Rolling in the Deep (Album Version).mp3  
etc…

My files should be pretty well-tagged. I.e.:

album: 21  
albumartist: Adele  
artist: Adele  
genre: Pop  
title: Rolling in the Deep  
track: 1/12  
year: 2011

etc.

My music library settings:

Genres: Plex Music  
Album Art: Both Plex Music and Local Files  
Scanner: Plex Music  
Agent: Plex Music

I’m running version 1.20.1.3252 on Linux. I’m hoping someone can help me debug this.
