Plex not seing external subtitles

Hello,

I recently noticed that my optimized versions does not pick up subtitles.

I have a 4K movie category that i optimize to 8Mbps 1080P.
Plex creates an MP4 file and extracts the SRT’s and put them in the same folder.

But Plex does not see the SRT’s, for whatever reason? In Plex it looks like the movie has no subs, but the files are there, right next to the movie file? (put there by the Plex optimizer)

I then tried copying some of the subs and put them next to the original files, but only the embedded subs show up? So it looks like Plex no longer sees ANY external subtitle?

Any ideas?

(PMS Version 1.13.5.5291, running in official docker on Debian 9)

Please show the file names of both the video and the subtitles of an affected optimized version.

I should mentioned that i have tried renaming the files, to no avail.

How did you rename them?
Leave out the number from the subtitles.

Yes, removing the number, also tried removing both number and country, so it was an exact match on filename. no luck.

Is the ‘Local Media Assets’ agent activated?

It was not, it is now.

I just added 2 optimized movies after enabling local media assets.

The new movies has subs, but existing movies still dont?

EDIT: Did a “Refresh metedata” on the category and subs are now being picked up correctly again.

Thanks you for your quick assistance!
