# Plex not updating libraries?

Server Version#: 4.125.1

Recently, I was trying to reorganize my library and it seems Plex Server is no longer removing movies from the library if I move them out of the windows directory they’re located at. I manually forced it to scan and update, still nothing.

If I click on the movie it says unavailable but it remains in the library. I made sure to click on “empty” and still nothing.

The only time I can get it to change the library is if I completely remove the directory from list of library folders.

That is the version for Plex Web.

Plex Media Server version is displayed in Settings → _Server\_Name_ → General.

It is also available in your list of [Authorized Devices](https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/all).

After scanning to pick up the changes, empty the trash at either the library or server level.
