# PLEX not working?

I’m trying to play something and it keeps telling me to upgrade to remote access plan or upgrade my whole plan any ideas on why is this is happening?

Just want to also mention I’m just playing it from my tv which I always play it from so nothings changed

It points to your TV being on a different network than your server or it’s unable to reach the server on your local network.

Start by restarting the TV and checking that it’s on the same network segment.

I have tried turning it all off and turning it back on nothing seems to work right now! 😕

Where is your server?

If the server is not on your local network you need either a Remote Watch pass or Plex Pass to play video content back from it.
