Recently I have found on my older Roku devices that when I open my Plex and want to watch a tv show or movie, it will play for about a minute or 2 and then crash out to the main Roku screen. I can go back into my Plex and it will do it all over again and without showing that it has played any of it. I have been updating the version of Plex on my server and it has not resolved. This started about 4 updates ago, which also coincided with me adding more users to my plex pass. Plex will work fine on Roku Express, Roku 4 and some smart apps on X-box and smart TVs, but the older Roku 2 and Roku 3 it crashes out everytime. Please help, I don’t really want to go through and replace all of my older Roku players with newer ones.
You said it…older Roku. I got rid of my older Roku 2’s for this very reason and now have several version 3’s, and the Stick, all work flawlessly.
