hi all,
I've been using Plex Media server for a while now. I'm running a new 65inch Sony, and media is on an iMac 10.11.6 with 12 gigs of RAM. I'm getting constant "application is too large" error. Googled it and there seems to be a Sony problem.
My question: Would Plex Premium be any better, is it more robust when it comes to connecting to Tv's.
And I'm "seeing" the Flex via the OperaTv app on the Sony. Would jumping into the 4th gen Apple TV help with stability issues such as "application too large" ?
thanks in advance
Rob

I am moving your post to the forum for the smart tv app as your issue has nothing to do with this forum thread which relates to the server being stuck on starting up

@RobDavis1959 - this is a shortcoming on the Sony platform. Nothing that can be done from the Plex end about it. You would have seen old forum posts going back to December 2016 for similar errors

Plex runs on many devices. See https://www.plex.tv/

For Plex Pass Premium Features see https://www.plex.tv/features/plex-pass/

You can raise a general discussion forum topic in http://forums.plex.tv/categories/general-discussions-public to discuss options for what to connect to the Sony TV to stream through eg Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV etc ...
