If you have a few people organizing people’s feedback and then restrict it to only those people being able to create cards, you can then have everyone else vote on the ideas within. That way, you get people who don’t want to post voting, all the ideas are then easy to find, and random people can’t create cards which then reduces clutter.
Combined with a Chrome extension, you can then sort the order of each list based on number of votes.
There are several teams that use Trello, among other tools, internally We’ll talk more about this at the roundtable.
will you guys ever have built in support for streaming music sites? I.E. spotify or google play music natively? would love to be able to browse my google play music library from within plex!
i cant join any of the actual sessions due to work and\or obligations. if i could also interject my opinion on some future features if discussed in the session\s:
Live TV\DVR functionality would be #1. i really want to centralize my house on Plex, but its not doable at this point.
better\easier way to automatically fix problems in the media library (i have errors all over the place that are not due to the metadata on the files, this is really just for music). i guess this may speak more tword bug fixes
Video Upload support! the photos can do it, why not video content
i would also like to watch the video’s of the sessions. how long after they are recorded can they be made available (day, week, etc)?
i do love the product and literally use it almost every day in some way!
Thanks to everyone who has provided questions for the roundtables here! This certainly has been a hot thread and I really appreciate reading everyone’s open and constructive feedback. We want the roundtables to be the same. All feedback has been captured and while we will have limited time to go over everything in the roundtables, I’m going to be working on getting answers or clarification to as many items mentioned and post in this thread. Some stuff I won’t be able to get answers for or it might be too vague to be satisfying, but please do know that everything mentioned in this thread and in our roundtables is going to get the eyes and ears of product, engineering, design, and support folks at Plex.
With ~2,800 hits to this thread and 90 actual sign-ups, we are happy to see such interest for these roundtables. This is a big endeavor for us and as such are doing this in stages as we plan to host them every quarter. For our first round we have set a 20 person limit on each of the 3 sessions and will be providing a link of the recording to all Plex Pass subscribers. We’ll be looking at live broadcast and Q&A in the future to allow for more Plex users to attend.
Since we hit the sign-up cap for all of the sessions, we will be randomly selecting 20 attendees for each session. Everyone who signed up will hear from me via email soon.
Thanks for setting this up and allowing me to participate. I thought tonight’s roundtable was very informative and the folks from Plex were very forthcoming with their answers. It was also great to see how others use Plex. This was an awesome way to get in touch with your community. Well done.

Thanks for the feedback! I think the response was good for our first attempt and we are looking forward to doing more with different guests each time.

Yes it was! I tried to make that a surprise in the Q&A portion whenever he was available. I was impressed with the varying degree of questions we received in each session. One Plex employee shared with me how impressed they were with the level of knowledge the participants had and how well they structured their questions! This makes me happy we received feedback in here to record the sessions, as now we all will be able to view each discussion.

^^ I got up at 3AM for the session but worth every minute, Elan gave some nice insights about the ongoing development.

any plex head living in MA want to play pool/foosball or darts and drink beer hit me up glad you enjoyed the viewing!
The session was great, I was glad to be part of it and can’t wait for more of them. So many ideas floating around my head, im sure these meetings could go for days
