# Plex Pass not unlocking on Apple TV

I purchased a Plex Pass and have been loving it. However I installed the Plex app on an Apple TV and it doesn’t think I have the pass because I can’t set custom icons. It tells me I need to upgrade to Plex Pass. When I go in and try to restore purchases it doesn’t do anything.

How come I can’t access the Plex Pass features despite owning Plex Pass?

Are you maybe using a different Plex account on the Apple TV app?

After purchasing a Plex Pass, all the Plex clients & servers need to be notified of the pass.  
You can force them to contact plex.tv by rebooting them.  
If that doesn’t help, switch user (if you have any users in your Plex Home).  
Last resort is signing out the device from your plex account and signing it back in.
