Server Version#: 1.43.5.11079-720011079
Player Version#: Various App versions, plex and plexamp

I will not provide logs, they won’t help.

I am trying to stream plex music through the web via ssl to plexamp while driving.
This is through a pangolin tunnel server, with direct access to my backend infra.
As soon as I close port 32400, the stream dies.
All hostnames are setup, I can stream via browser, not via app.

This tells me that port 32400 is hard coded somewhere in the chain.

Has anyone gotten this to work?

Streaming over https, it finally stopped. Why?

The server locally is always 32400. This cannot be changed. If using another port for external then it need to be port forwarded locally to your computer that runs the sevver.

Thanks BigWheel, thats what I was trying to do but with tunnel provider in the mix.
Tunnel server was listening on plex.domain.com:443.
Tunnel terminated internally to plex.internal.local:32400.

But I can’t get it to keep establish that connection.
Once I port forward 32400, magic happens. Looks like no tunnel for Plex.

Then you need to

1. add this URL as “Custom server access URLs”
2. provide a security certificate, for that domain name, which is trusted by your client device(s). Add this into the Plex configuration as “custom certificate”.
