# plex pass version of the roku plex app

Hi, I am about to buy a new roku premiere+ or ultra. I remember from the past that plex pass members had access to a beta/test plex channel on the roku but can’t find any info about that anymore. does everybody just use the latest release nowadays or is there still a code for the roku channel store to get the beta version?

Actually the Plex Pass version of the Plex Roku app has been pretty well tested most of the time and should not generally be considered a beta. Also the Plex Pass version and the general release version can coexist on a Roku so most people that have access to the Plex Pass version should install both apps.
The “code” for the Plex Pass version is PlexPass

In general often the only real difference between the two versions of the channel is the delay while Roku “verifies” the new version. Sometimes there is a little more difference but, since the original version is available at the same time, this is a “beta” with no real risk.
