So its about Plex server being harsh on my tizen’s DLNA player.
Apart from official Plex app and awfull Synology DS Video app, I use plain DLNA player for watching movies, directly from server’s folders, Plex and Syno Videostation.
both of them TV can easily operate with, no issues. But since Syno VS is…well, it’s awfull when it comes to metadata, I prefer using Plex,
and…it’s really problematic to playback movies with Plex directly with DLNA, without app.
On practice, it looks like this:
a) Tizen’s menu stutters very hard when trying to load Plex library,
b) loading is very long,
c) dunno where Plex gets .mpg and .m2v videofile extensions to show in samsung’s DLNA player list. I have ONLY m2ts and MKV stored.
And it’s reaaaly strange, since at the same exact time, Videostation works through DLNA just fine - interface is smooth, loading is fast, all files show their real extension and can be played - so TV doesn’t stresses itself that much.
Maybe I should toggle smthing in server’s settings? Or is it backend features?
